Oracle Unveils Five AI Agents to Automate Sales and Service

Oracle is expanding the role of artificial intelligence in business operations with five new AI-powered applications designed to help sales and customer service teams make decisions and execute approved actions. Announced October 26 at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, the applications aim to automate complex tasks ranging from sales territory planning to field service scheduling and customer account research.

The new tools use Oracle Fusion Claw, an AI execution technology built into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. Unlike traditional AI assistants that primarily generate recommendations, these applications can analyze business data, evaluate alternatives, adjust plans as conditions change, and execute authorized tasks within established company policies.

For businesses managing growing sales operations, service requests, and customer relationships, the technology could reduce administrative workloads while helping employees respond more quickly to changing conditions.

“Business leaders need to turn growth strategies into opportunities and deliver on customer commitments, but connecting customer demand with enterprise capacity in time to act remains a challenge,” said Kartik Raghavan, senior vice president, Applications Development, Oracle.

Five New AI Applications Target Sales and Customer Service

The new applications are available within Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX) and address several operational challenges that businesses face as they expand.

  • Account Territory Growth Plan: Analyzes sales territory configurations and compares potential strategies for distributing accounts and opportunities. The application evaluates available resources, business constraints, and growth opportunities before carrying out authorized changes. Businesses could use it to improve sales coverage without overloading individual representatives.
  • Service Health Check: Monitors customer service performance to identify emerging problems before they become widespread. It investigates potential causes and recommends adjustments to support processes, routing, automation, and policies. Once approved, the system can implement changes to improve service delivery.
  • Strategic Field Demand Planning: Helps businesses anticipate field service staffing requirements by analyzing customer demand and available personnel. It identifies scheduling gaps and proposes resource adjustments while considering overtime expenses. This could benefit service businesses managing technicians across multiple locations.
  • CPQ Test-to-Production Setup & Configuration Migration: Automates portions of the process for moving Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) system changes into production. It reviews configuration dependencies, identifies potential deployment problems, and executes approved migration steps. The goal is to reduce errors that could affect pricing and customer quotes.
  • Executive Briefing Document: Researches customer accounts and assembles editable executive briefings using account engagement history, company news, product usage, revenue opportunities, and organizational information. The application can update these documents as account information changes, potentially reducing preparation time for important customer meetings.

Moving Beyond AI Recommendations

A central feature of Oracle’s announcement is the ability to automate multiple steps in a business process while maintaining human oversight.

Oracle describes Fusion Claw as a governed execution system capable of handling extended workflows that require research, calculations, simulations, and continuous adjustments. Employees establish objectives and define which actions the technology can perform, while the applications coordinate the necessary work.

For example, a service company experiencing increased customer demand could use AI to identify staffing shortages, evaluate scheduling alternatives, and prepare changes that managers can approve. Rather than requiring employees to manually complete every step, the system could implement authorized adjustments.

Similarly, a growing sales organization could evaluate whether its territories still reflect current market opportunities and adjust account assignments based on approved recommendations.

Oracle says the applications operate on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and use enterprise data from its broader business software environment, which includes finance, human resources, supply chain, sales, and service systems.

Business Considerations Before Adopting Agentic AI

Although these capabilities could benefit smaller organizations, businesses should consider several factors before adopting AI systems that can directly modify operational processes.

Data quality is particularly important. Applications that analyze customer demand, staffing availability, or sales opportunities depend on accurate and current information. Incomplete records or outdated business rules could affect the quality of AI-generated recommendations and subsequent actions.

Businesses must also establish appropriate approval procedures. Automated changes to customer assignments, pricing configurations, or service schedules can have financial and operational consequences. Clear permissions, testing requirements, and accountability remain essential.

Another consideration is compatibility with existing technology. Because the applications are integrated into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, companies using different customer relationship management or operational software should evaluate integration requirements before making purchasing decisions.

Oracle did not disclose pricing, detailed deployment requirements, or quantified customer performance results for the new applications in its announcement.

The company is also expanding development options through Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications. The platform provides no-code and professional development capabilities for creating and managing agentic applications using Oracle, partner, and external AI agents. It also includes monitoring, return-on-investment measurement, and safety controls.

For small businesses evaluating agentic AI, the most important consideration may be identifying processes where automation can deliver measurable improvements. Reducing service delays, controlling overtime expenses, improving sales coverage, and preventing quoting errors offer concrete opportunities to assess whether the technology produces meaningful operational value.
